Hello 8th graders,
I know it has been a long time since we have had a conversation in the blog-o-sphere. I have decided to move our blog to this new location because a. it is free, and b. better supports our needs as a classroom community.
Our new approach to the blog will be as follows:
1. Please check the blog on a weekly basis for updates, messages and information.
2. Students are asked to leave 1 comment by each Friday of the week in order to receive credit for participation. I will check the blog by 5:00 pm every Friday to make sure you have completed this task.
3. Our website will be classroom based. We will discuss these expecations in greater length in the classroom. Please let me know if any of you have questions!
Thank you!
Mrs. Emmerich
This classroom blog is a virtual space to extend our classroom discussions, questions, and inquiries throughout the school year. Invite your parents to join in on the conversation!
Welcome Back!
Welcome back St. Joseph School 8th grade students and families! I hope this blog extends our classroom discussions and gives you an opportunity to connect from home! On this blog, you will find a copy of your syllabus, interesting websites and videos, and reflective questions to consider and respond to as part of your participation grades. I look forward to an exciting school year with you all!
Thank you!

About Me
- Ms. Emmerich
- Hello! I am excited to be teaching 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts and Theology here at St. Joseph School. I have lived in Missoula since 2002, when I moved here as a Jesuit Volunteer. After my one year of service, I decided to stay and work with non-profits that benefit youth in our community. I graduated with my MA in English this summer. My family and I are thrilled to be members of the SJS and St. Francis Xavier communities.
i would like to learn how to write a good research paper in the 2nd quarter.
